Chicken poop is such an excellent fertilizer! These pics are of the field where our chickens spent the winter. I mean, is that green, or what? They were allowed to free-range all over this area, and the grass is that much better for it. In fact, if you look closely, you can even make out patches of even darker green spread throughout the field. Those are the spots where the chicken wagon itself set. Remember, the wagon is created so that their poo (while they roost at night inside the wagon) falls right through the floor, making less for us to have to clean and more fertilizer for the ground below!

Just so you know, I was standing on top of my van to take these pictures. Goodness, the lengths (or heights) I go to for you guys. ;)
