Brooding On

Farm Visitor

Nana hadn't made it our direction since early October, but she was able to pay us a short visit this past week.

A lot has changed at Brood Farm since she was last here, including the addition of 100+ chickens.  As you can see, they really took to her.  ;)

While she was here, we enjoyed a little shopping excursion to downtown Hardy where she made these other animal friends.  She loves giraffes, but we decided these might not fit in the trunk for the ride back to Fort Smith.    Though we had a great time exploring countless little shops, our only actual purchase was this adorable honey pot from Hardy Pottery.  As honey is our go-to sweetener, we keep it on the table alongside our salt and pepper.  But since our old plastic honey container met its microwave-induced, explosive end, we've tried a variety of other storage methods that have created some pretty sticky situations.  Thankfully, this handcrafted pot is the solution we've been looking for.

The kids absolutely ate up their time with Nana, and we were all so very happy to see her.  Thanks, Mom, for making the trip our direction.  We love you!
