Brooding On

It's Time to Do a Happy Dance!

Wednesday, we closed on the house!

For those of you who are keeping up with the timeline, we had an offer and acceptance in April, so this has been a long time coming.  It was "touch and go" for a little while, but we are so thankful that everything worked out and we are HEADED TO THE FARM!  This has been a dream of ours for awhile now, and it still feels a little unreal that it is actually happening.

From the time of closing, we have 2 weeks to make the transition, so we are now in high gear!

As pictured above, we will discontinue front porch egg sales beginning July 3rd.  Our chickens, however, do not plan to take a break while we get everything moved over, so eggs will still be available.  Message me about pick-up or get on the delivery list.  We will continue to run our regular Wednesday delivery route.

So, we have lots of things to get done now.  Like harvest the carrots and beets.

And dry the garlic.

Oh, and move the contents of the house and barn and yard (all their inhabitants).

No doubt, this is going to be a crazy couple of weeks.  To get me through the rough spots, I plan to look ahead to a few weeks from now: waking up, pouring a cup of coffee, stepping quietly out the front door, walking toward the barn, and watching all of our happy animals greet the day.  :)
