New Digs for the Ladies

Our little chicks have grown up!  While they're not yet laying, the ones we pre-sold are old enough to set out into the great, big, wide world beyond our farm. Okay, I'm a little overprotective for that, but they're big enough to be sent to live in the backyards/farms of those who've passed our extensive background screening process.  ;)  

Several of our babies are now calling other places home.  Here are some pics of those new homes.  I really like getting to see what kinds of chicken enclosures other folks use.  Our chickens have definitely got some nice new digs!

In other news, one of our new hens began crowing the other day.  Uggghh.  We had ordered pullets that were supposed to all be female.  Oh, well.  Roosters make great chicken salad.  ;)
