Brooding On

Hands Down: We Have the Best Customers!

All week I'd been watching the forecast for Saturday morning.  And the closer it got, the more I dreaded it.  I'd put so much work into market prep all week.  And, just packing everything up and getting to market is such a to-do. Would anyone even show up to shop amid the downpour and storms that were predicted?

Admittedly, we missed the brunt of the storms that had been forecasted; still, it was less than ideal market weather.  But you showed up!  We sold 50 dozen eggs and tons of soap and enjoyed our time with customers just as much as we always do.  I can't tell you how much it warmed my heart to see a familiar face headed toward our booth, rain boots shuffling through the puddles and raincoat wrapped around the empty cartons to be returned.  You guys are not just fair-weather customers.  You are dedicated.  And I love it!

And, speaking of our amazing customers . . .

You may recall a recent post wherein I bellyached about having to scrub my soap trays with a toothbrush to get them clean when all I had to do at our old house was toss them in the dishwasher.  Blog reader and customer Whitney read that post and messaged to let me know that she had an extra dishwasher that she would be happy to GIVE US!  Um, yes, please.

There was no room for it in the trailer, of course, but we're making even better use of it in the barn.  Out there, we can use it to sanitize the milking equipment after each milking.  I also tote my soap trays out there when it's time to get them clean.  Goodbye, toothbrush!  Thanks so much Whitney!

So, really, you guys are the best.  I hope you don't think it's too forward of me to just blurt it out, but . . . I love you.  I really do.  I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your support of our little farm. Thank you. Thank you.  Thank you.
